Description

Joe and Dolores came to England in that awful winter of 1963, a bit of a shock no doubt when your previous home was sunny Spain. Arriving at Chesterfield station Joe convinced Dolores they were in Sheffield so off they got, with almost no English they then had to catch the next train to Sheffield. Where upon they were met by their now frantic sponsor Mrs Bowie, who was holding a sign with their names on it.( The limit of the communication between them) This was the start of their life in England.
